MAN trucks accessories

Since its establishment in the early 20th century, MAN trucks have stood out for their innovative design, greatly enhanced by the original accessories offered by MAN. It is often said that safety is paramount, especially on long journeys. Following this principle, MAN offers accessories that enhance driver and environmental safety. One way to enhance safety is to improve visibility. One such accessory is the Side Camera System (SCS), mounted on the passenger side (Figure 1). The camera features a 150° wide-angle lens, providing optimal visibility to avoid blind spots. Road users previously in the truck’s blind spot will now be visible. The system is activated automatically when turning or manually via a switch, which is installed additionally. The side camera serves as an additional pair of eyes, helping to eliminate blind spots and improve manoeuvrability.

For even more visibility, opt for the 360° BirdView camera system (Fig. 2), which provides a full view around the vehicle. The high-resolution 360° view system MAN BirdView enhances visibility during complex manoeuvres and ensures greater safety when turning. The system consists of four HD cameras with wide-angle lenses. This ensures a seamless view of the entire vehicle environment, including all blind spots. It’s worth noting that before using the system for the first time, it must be calibrated specifically for the vehicle. Calibration software is provided on the SD card included in the kit.

Additionally, many drivers purchase additional lights to ensure even better visibility and safety during their journey. These can be additional lights on the roof or side lighting. Lights not only provide distinction but also increase safety and allow drivers to manoeuvremore easily.

The roof-mounted air-conditioning system (Figure 3) is one of the most important additions to improve driver’s comfort. It provides relaxing comfort when the engine is off, thus reducing fuel consumption. There are three models of different power available to choose from. Due to its highly efficient technology, such a system ensures fast and reliable ventilation for up to 12 hours with low operating costs. The compact roof-mounted air conditioning system for trucks is easily installed in the roof hatch of the truck.

Among the traditional accessories that provide convenience and uniqueness, such as seat covers, floor mats, shelves, and holders, wind deflectors should be mentioned. When used in the truck cabin, they ensure optimal ventilation. During intense sun exposure, they help avoid unpleasant heat buildup.

Another accessory that significantly contributes to the stylish cabin appearance is the coffee maker (Figure 4), operating with just one touch. With it, you can prepare up to 6 cups of coffee at once, and its attractive anodized aluminium design is specifically tailored for trucks.

One of the most popular MAN truck accessories should not be overlooked – cargo securing systems (Figure 5). These systems allow for securely fastening cargo, ensuring safe transportation. They can vary greatly, from simple straps to special fastening mechanisms designed for specific cargo. As a special highlight, all straps are marked with the MAN logo.
