DAF truck cabins’ interior is akin to an oasis of driver comfort, meticulously designed to ensure an unparalleled driving experience, incorporating various design elements and features. From ergonomic seats, spacious interiors, and clear information displays to climate control and adjustable lighting tailored for comfort, DAF trucks set new standards for cabin comfort.

The focus of the ergonomic interior design is on comfort during long journeys. The seat, with pneumatic suspension adjustable in various aspects, is crafted for driving comfort over extended periods. Features such as lumbar support, adjustable seat height, and tiltable seat cushions enable the driver to find the ideal position. DAF offers some of the most spacious truck cabins, accommodating even the longest and widest sleeping berths. The configuration of sleeper cabins can be customised, with options for single or double bunks. In modern DAF truck models, a digital screen can also be integrated, providing additional information such as navigation, fuel consumption, and vehicle diagnostic data. An enhanced driver experience is ensured through logically grouped settings and the Driver Performance Assistant (DPA) program, offering more guidance on driving efficiently and economically.

For long-haul drivers, storage solutions for personal items and belongings are crucial. DAF truck cabins are equipped with numerous overhead compartments, storage drawers under the bunks, cabinets, and seat pockets, ensuring convenient storage for all desired items. There is ample space in the cabin to accommodate a refrigerator for those who wish to have one.

When it comes to the interior of DAF cabs, the warm and tasteful sandy colour cannot go unnoticed, providing the interior with a superb appearance and creating a pleasant and cosy environment (see Figure 1). The pinnacle of luxury and comfort is the Exclusive Line series. It features a cognac-coloured dashboard and door panels, as well as stylish air vents, creating a 5-star hotel environment.
