    MAN trucks quality

    MAN trucks quality

We covered extensive topics on how best to evaluate and find information about MAN trucks.

    MAN trucks quality

The history of the German giant MAN dates back to 1758, when it founded a metal industry company that later specialised in machine manufacture. Besides its rich history, MAN trucks are renowned for their longevity, efficiency, and advanced technologies, with a focus on fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. To ensure the quality of its products, MAN adheres to strict quality control requirements and ensures customer satisfaction. The key factors influencing the quality of MAN trucks are engineering expertise, robust construction, cutting-edge technologies, and a commitment to customer service.

MAN is dedicated to achieving manufacturing excellence, producing each MAN truck with precision and meticulous attention to detail. Such perfection is more easily attainable by working in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and adhering to the strictest quality control standards. These processes are precisely what ensures the reliability of MAN trucks. Reliability is also associated with the robustness of MAN truck construction – MAN trucks are renowned for their strong chassis and frame structure, making them suitable for long-distance cargo transportation and challenging conditions. Additionally, the strength of the construction and the use of top-quality materials and components directly contribute to the longevity of the truck.

In order to offer the most advanced technologies, MAN heavily invests in research and development to implement the latest technological advancements in their trucks. This enhances automation in truck functions and eases the driver’s work through auxiliary driving systems (assistants). The main currently offered assistance programs include:

    • Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) warns the driver in emergency braking situations; automatically stops the vehicle in hazardous conditions; alerts following participants with an emergency braking signal.
    • Adaptive Cruise Control (MAN ACC STOP & GO) controls driving speed; maintains distance from the vehicles ahead; automatically brakes and resumes driving in heavy traffic.
    • MAN Traffic Jam Assist system independently manages gears, brakes, and steering mechanism; maintains distance from the vehicle ahead and traffic lane if traffic is stagnant; brakes to a stop when necessary and automatically moves forward briefly when stopped.
    • MAN Lane Departure Warning System (LDW) and MAN Lane Return Assist (LRA) help the driver safely stay within the lane; warns about lane departure; alerts about unintentional deviation from the lane; actively guides the vehicle back into the lane.

MAN also places great importance on environmental aspects, and advanced technologies precisely allow for increased fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

In addition to manufacturing precision and modern facilities, MAN recognises that quality is strongly connected to customer service. It is ensured through two main aspects – the company provides comprehensive digital services and ensures accessible and high-quality technical maintenance of vehicles.

The goal of the increasingly expanding digital services network is to optimise fleet management, increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and provide necessary support to drivers. MAN DigitalServices and the Rio Marketplace platform comprehensively assist in fleet management: from tachographs and time management, vehicle tracking, and driver assistance to electric vehicle charging and battery management, optimization of operational characteristics, and active management of technical maintenance and repairs. Software updates for vehicle systems also ensure greater operational efficiency and performance of the fleet. The digital service MAN Now sends desired functions directly to the vehicles, regardless of their location.

MAN adheres to the simple rule that preventive maintenance is better than repairs. It is recommended to perform technical maintenance every 80,000 km or once a year. MAN has numerous authorised dealerships worldwide where technical maintenance can be carried out – including changing oils, filters, and worn-out parts. There are more than 1,600 MAN service centres operating in various countries, easily accessible from the highway at all times. The best way to connect with the workshop is through the MAN Driver app.

Well-known in the commercial vehicle industry, MAN trucks are synonymous with quality and reliability. Focusing on manufacturing expertise, advanced engineering, and customer service, MAN has gained the trust of representatives across various industries. Whether MAN trucks are intended for long-distance journeys, construction, or distribution, they are characterised by their durability, efficiency, and overall quality, making them a choice for companies worldwide.
